#DigitalLeap Twitter Recap
By Brock Warner on April 13, 2011
Yesterday, the second annual Digital Leap Canada conference was held at The Royal Conservatory in Toronto, and was a huge success. Not only did nearly 200 non-profit marketing and fundraising professionals make it out in person, but they also made their mark on the twitterverse as well.
In the 8 or so hours of the event, #digitalleap was tweeted over 500 times, not including any conversations and tangents that others took part in on their own. It was a trending topic across Toronto, which is noteworthy because Toronto is one of the most social media savvy cities in North America. The #digitalleap hashtag had over 400,000 impressions, all thanks to the tweeters in attendance.
If you didn’t even know that this surge of online conversation was going on, you need to read the blog I wrote last week about digital networking at conferences. That should bring you up to speed.
